Inside the backdrop of the Sycamore Grove Theatre, a series of images depict the film's story from beginning to end accompanied by the song, 'Local Hero'.
First we see a close up of Romeo and Juliet kissing in the lift, police on streets during the mutiny, and a close-up of the lovers' ring with the words "I love thee" inscribed around its base. The tempo of the song increases, and a flood of images begins to flash across the screen. We see the following shots:
