The stage is set for an amazing theatrical experience. Be there this fall when visionary
director Baz Luhrmann, the creative force of nature behind the films Moulin Rouge
and Romeo & Juliet, brings Puccini's La Bohème to Broadway in a
thrilling new production.
The Background
Luhrmann spent two years searching the globe for talented young singers who can blow the
roof off the theater, who are powerful actors and who are the same age as the characters
they're playing.
The Setting
Luhrmann's production is reset in the left bank of Paris in 1957, with a stunning visual
design by Academy award-winner Catherine Martin.
The other big
difference
Classic opera houses have up to 45,000 seats. Our theater has only 1,800 seats so you're
close to the action and can really feel the emotion.
