"Bombs Over Darwin –1991/92"
On Thursday 19th February 1942, at 09.58am, 188 Japanese planes launched the first attack on Australian soil by an enemy force.


"Bombs Over Darwin" Painted in The Hotel Darwin. Acrylic on canvas 3m x 1.8m sold for Aus $60,000.

James worked on "Bombs Over Darwin" over a period of months working with two historians, John Jack Davies and Bob Alford. The result is a balance between historic detail and artistic creativity, and presents a unique record of the first and only stained conflict on Australian soil. Prints available 70cm x 100cm. The Painting is located in the Aviation museum, Darwin.
